Several Pennsylvania state lawmakers are calling on the House of Representatives to pass Sen Bill 9 to protect fairness in women's sports.
Senator Judy Ward, prime bill sponsor says the Senate took a bipartisan step last week to support biological women through fair competition by approving Senate Bill 9, the “Save Women’s Sports Act”.
The bill would prevent biological men from competing in women's sports when they are sanctioned by a public school or an institute of higher education.
“Since 2020 in Pennsylvania, 37 female athletes have lost first place and another 13 lost second or third place to men who were competing in their sport,” said Ward.
Ward says the results of men in women’s sports is undeniable and must stop. The bill is now headed to the House of Representatives for consideration.
