Bomb threats reported across the country were also reportedly called in to polling places in Pennsylvania.

Governor Josh Shapiro’s administration released a statement saying, in part, “My team and I have been in direct communications with Pennsylvania State Police Colonel Christopher Paris who is coordinating with local and federal law enforcement, as well as PEMA.  State and local law enforcement – along with the FBI – are investigating these threats and thus far, there is no credible threat to the public.”

Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry released a statement as well.

Multiple other battleground states were affected by a series of bomb threats.

The threats in Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania turned out to be hoaxes, but forced evacuations and some polling places to extend hours.

The FBI said many of Tuesday's hoax bomb threats appeared to originate from Russian email domains
