Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro spoke on the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk when he was in Pittsburgh for an AI summit on Thursday.
The governor was also a target of political violence when his residence was firebombed back in April of this year.
"This is a moment where leaders need to speak and act with moral clarity, where we need to condemn this type of violence," he said.
He says healing in the US will start with elected leaders looking to unify and heal.
Shapiro was critical of United States President Donald Trump in an interview with ABC News, saying the president is 'cherry-picking' who he is pointing out when citing political violence.
