Pennsylvania Capitol Complex closes to public due to increasing Coronavirus cases

Pennsylvania will close the state's Capitol Complex to the public beginning December 7 due to the continued rise in COVID-19 cases.

The closure will be in effect indefinitely.


The announcement was made by the Wolf administration through the Department of General Services.

Government operations will continue, but all public visits and events at interior venues are cancelled.

On Wednesday, Governor Wolf announced the lighting of the Capitol Christmas tree to officially start the holiday season at the state capitol.
