PA First Lady tests negative for coronavirus

Her husband, Governor Tom Wolf tested positive Wednesday

On Wednesday, PA Governor Tom Wolf announced he tested positive for COVID-19, on Thursday his wife, First Lady Frances Wolf tested negative.

"Tom and I are grateful for the well-wishes and support we have received," said First Lady Wolf. "Please, on behalf of the more than 400,000 Pennsylvanians who have contracted this virus, the more than 12,000 who have died, and the healthcare and essential workers who are overwhelmed and scared, follow the direction of our doctors. Wear your masks. And, if you can, stay home."


Wolf and the First Lady are isolating in their York County home.

The 72-year-old governor reports he is still asymptomatic.

Wolf along with PA Dept. of Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine are expected to announce new mitigation efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 Thursday afternoon.
