PA prisons adopting a 'new normal' with COVID lessons in mind

HARRISBURG (NewsRadio KDKA) — The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (DOC) has taken the lessons it learned over the past 15 months and has been working to create a "new normal" concerning the safety and health of staff, inmates, and community.

The DOC has been reworking its daily operations, and they exhibited those changes in a virtual tour of two of its facilities Wednesday.

The DOC showed off two of its complexes in Somerset county, specifically: SCI Somerset and SCI Laurel Highlands.

The tour can be viewed on the PAcast website.
