US Senator John Fetterman is not joining progressive lawmakers in calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war.
In an X (formerly Twitter) posting Wednesday, the senator said, "It's truly disturbing...Members of Congress rushed to blame Israel for the hospital tragedy in Gaza. Who would take the word of a group that just massacred innocent Israeli civilians over our key ally?"
He went on to say he would, in his words, "...always stand with Israel" and is looking "...forward to supporting any military, intelligence, or humanitarian aid to get the job done."
Mr. Fetterman didn't name anyone, but Representative Summer Lee is among a group of House Democrats calling for a cease fire in the Israel-Hamas war.
Senator Fetterman also released a statement after evidence showed the deadly blast at the hospital was the result of a missile fired inside Gaza.
