PITTSBURGH (Newsradio100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) - Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf's plan to vaccinate teachers and other school staff members is receiving a mixed reaction across the commonwealth.

Tim O’Neal, a state representative in Washington County, said Thursday placing these employees at the front of the line will not take away from other high priority groups during the KDKA Radio Morning Show.

"We're able to do that because of this new vaccine (Johnson and Johnson) coming out of line, without jeopardizing any of the things we've done in the past, specifically for those seniors already in the 1A category," O'Neal said. "It's really a great opportunity right now to do two things at once."

The goal is to put students back in the classroom for in-person learning, O'Neal said.
