The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for western Pennsylvania as well as east central Ohio and the northern panhandle and northern West Virginia.

Wind speeds are expected in the 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph possible.

The advisory remains in effect until 6pm Friday.

Watch out for damage that can be caused by the high winds including downed trees and power lines. Power outages are also possible.

The wind speeds can also make travel difficult - especially for vehicles with a high profile.
