It was a cold, wet morning for people around Pittsburgh, but north of the city, it was the first taste of winter for many.

North of Zelienople, snow fell, covering roadways for a time this morning.

“This band moves out, there may be another snow or two, but I think it goes from snow to rain as we get into the midday and the afternoon just mainly rain showers as this cold air will relax,” said AccuWeather’s Dean DeVore.

The snow impacted some drivers on the roadways and Slippery Rock University was on a two-hour delay on Wednesday.

A freeze watch is in effect through Thursday evening with temperatures as low as 29 possible overnight.

It starts to warm up on Thursday with temperatures near 60.

Then this weekend, it will really be nice with temperatures close or above 70. through Tuesday.

After that, temps will remain relatively warm through Halloween with an early forecast of 59 and a shower in the morning on the holiday.
