PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – If Pitt coaches had any second thoughts about going after transfer center Cam Corhen, they just needed to look at their game tapes to see what he can do. The Florida State sophomore has verbally committed to join the Panthers, first reported by ‘On3Sports’.

Corhen dropped a career-high 25 points and eight rebounds at the Petersen Events Center in March. The 6’10”, 225-pound Corhen was 8-12 from the field and 9-10 from the foul line in that game. It was one of 13 double-figure games this past season, he also had a double-double at rival Florida. For the season, Corhen averaged 9.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, shot 63% field goals and 67% from the foul line.

He was a four-star recruit out of Allen, Texas, ranked as the 14th best center in the nation and 93rd overall recruit two years ago.  His father played at Georgia and coming out of high school he had offers from several other schools including Houston, Illinois, USC, Arizona and TCU.

Corhen fills the spot left after Federiko Federiko entered the transfer portal.
