PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Off to his best start in his three years with the Steelers, the team put receiver Roman Wilson on injured reserve on Saturday along with making a few other roster moves before playing at Tampa.
With three of the top five receivers out, the team called up receiver Brandon Smith and Brandon Johnson from the practice squad, Smith played in the game last week against Indianapolis.
Steelers also signed running back Lew Nichols to the active roster from the practice squad as he takes Wilsons spot on the 53-man. Every other time Nichols has been called up from the p-squad, running back Rico Dowdle has been inactive. Dowdle is listed as questionable for the game Sunday.
