Offensive lineman Zach Banner, running back Anthony McFarland Jr and defensive end Stephon Tuitt will begin the year on the Steelers Reserve/Injured List.
In corresponding moves, the Steelers signed O-linemen B.J.
Finney and Rashaad Coward to the 53-man roster along with cornerback veteran cornerback Arthur Maulet.
Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler said on Wednesday that Tuitt was dealing with a knee injury and had put on some weight while helping his family after the sudden death of his brother. Tuitt has been extremely limited this preseason.

While head coach Mike Tomlin doesn’t have to give injury updates until next week, Banner has been rehabbing after a severe ACL injury in the first game of last year’s season, and has not practices this week.
With Banner out, Chuks Okorafor has been working at right tackle, with rookie Dan Moore Jr. working on the left side.
There is no news on why McFarland is on the list, but has not been practicing lately.
The injured players will be out for a minimum of three weeks.
Coward, Finney and Maulet were all part of the releases on Tuesday to bring the team down to 53-men.
Mike Tomlin will give his first injury update of the season next Tuesday, which you can hear live at noon on 93.7 The Fan
