The rumors are true; the Piano Man is coming to PNC Park next year.
In an announcement Thursday by Former pitcher/broadcaster Steve Blass and former Pirates second baseman and current Pirates broadcaster Neil Walker, the club revealed that Billy Joel will play PNC Park on August 11, 2022.
Joel, who last played PNC Park in 2016 has also made similar stadium announcement in places like Houston and Detroit.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Billy Joel back to Pittsburgh and PNC Park,” said Travis Williams, President, Pittsburgh Pirates. “He is one of the biggest concert draws in the world, selling out arenas and stadiums across the globe, and a favorite here at our Park. This will be an amazing night.”
Tickets go on sale to the general public on November 19 at 10 a.m.
