Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd is doubling down on his comments about the Steelers giving up, but is also adding some context.

The product out of Clairton and the University of Pittsburgh said on Monday, "For a team to just lay down like that before the game is over, no matter how much we're losing by or whatever the case may be, I know me, I know us, we're not giving up . . . they portrayed it to the whole nation, on TV what they were about and how they gave up, so you just got to take advantage," said Boyd.

On Tuesday, Boyd reiterated what he saw saying that while he has “nothin but respect for them”, he also “never saw them finish like that.”

Former Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden said on Tuesday that the Cam Heyward and the rest of the team have to be taking Boyd’s comments personal.

“Everybody in that locker room needs to understand and remember those quotes from Tyler Boyd,” said McFadden. “He felt like they quit on the game and he felt it was okay to put that in the public.”

While the Steelers should use Boyd’s comments to get fired up, it doesn’t mean that they weren’t true.
