Four-time Super Bowl Champion, Hall of Famer player who Joe Starkey believes should be the next number retired by the Steelers, Terry Bradshaw believes the organization needs to stick with Kenny Pickett this coming season.
Speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, Bradshaw said, “I love Pickett . . . I know him, I know him well and he’s fiercely competitive, he’s a tough-minded kid, things don’t bother him.”
Bradshaw adds it isn’t Pickett that needs to be replaces, he needs talent around him on the offensive.
“Surround him with talent,” said Bradshaw. “Why is (Brock) Purdy successful with the 49ers . . . look at all that talent and look at the coach calling plays and that kid’s got the poise, Kenny has the poise.”
Bradshaw also commented on the talk of Justin Fields coming to Pittsburgh and he says the Steelers don’t need to do that.
“That’s a huge mistake, you don’t need Fields, stay with what you got,” said Bradshaw. “Just build him up, get another receiver, get him an explosive tight end, give him another tackle, give him a guard, have the ability to protect him.”
“He’s fine, that’s their guy.”
Bradshaw is also a fan of the Arthur Smith hire as offensive coordinator.
