PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Center Zach Frazier did not participate in Steelers practice Thursday on the South Side putting his status in doubt for Sunday Night against Green Bay. It’s looking good for receiver Calvin Austin.
Frazier suffered a calf injury and was limited during practice on Wednesday. The second-year center said he hurt it during the second drive last Thursday in Cincinnati. He is, though, optimistic of playing in a couple of days.
“I feel like I will be good, just kind of resting it,” Frazier said Thursday.
Meanwhile receiver Calvin Austin practiced full for the second straight day. If seems from his offensive coordinator that he will play Sunday night.
“It’s great when you get a guy back that’s a productive player and a big part of our offense,” said Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith Thursday. “That’s an added bonus for us. Calvin, ever since I got here, has played really good football. Has made some big plays this season. We are happy to have him back.”
