PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers will be without starting corner Jamel Dean while tailback Rico Dowdle is questionable for the game against Indianapolis Sunday.
There was optimism from head coach Mike McCarthy after Dean went through some work on Monday, but that likely puts rookie Daylen Everette in a starting role with the potential for either Terell Smith or Sean Murphy-Bunting to play after being signed earlier this week.
Dowdle has been limited all week, but could come back and just play limited snaps to give Jaylen Warren a few breaks. Dowdle dislocated his toe twice against New England.
Safety Jalen Ramsey is also listed as questionable with a broken wrist after playing through that injury last Thursday in Cleveland.
McCarthy announced on Thursday that receiver Michael Pittman would be out, missing a couple of weeks.
Safety DeShon Elliott started his 21-day window to return to action from a hamstring injury.
