Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward is having a little bit of fun at Steeler Nation’s expense this April Fools’ Day.
The team’s defensive captain posted to Twitter on Friday morning that made it seem like he was leaving.
“Damn it’s been real Steelers nation…,” Heyward said.
A couple hours later, Heyward doubled down and posted a fake screen shot from the “Steelers” that said “We have released Cam Heyward.”
And then Friday afternoon, Heyward added another Tweet asking who could help him with a video.
Heyward is one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL so if he was really released by Pittsburgh, he’d need to head down to the Steelers headquarters to make sure there wasn’t a gas leak or something like that.
