PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – There is only a day of practice and little recovery, Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers blunt on his thoughts of playing Thursday after a Sunday.

“Thursday is all about the League and making money, we understand that,” Rodgers said Tuesday. “It used to be just Thanksgiving Thursday and they added, obviously, the Thursday games and Amazon coming in with a nice chunk of change. We know what it’s all about.”

Rodgers went on to quickly say that it’s the same for every team, all have to play a Thursday night after a Sunday. He said it usually takes until Wednesday for the veterans over 30 to start feeling better.

“It’s tough, you just do as much as you can to speed it up,” said linebacker Patrick Queen. “I feel both teams go into the game sore. It’s really one of the things everybody hates in the League is playing a Thursday Night Game. We just got to try to find a way just to, screw it and be mentally strong.”

“I think we all just suck it up, no excuses and knowing there is a reward at the end of this which is a few days off,” Rodgers said. “We just go on the road, take care of business and we get a little break.”
