The Jacksonville Jaguars are rubbing salt in the wound that was a 20-10 Steelers loss on Sunday.
The Jags social media team posted an image that said “Jags Win” and featured a Photoshopped image of a napkin dispenser with Terrible Towel napkins coming out of it.
That was in reference to Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence who called the Terrible Towel “Little yellow towels.”
In context, it wasn’t an insult, but the Jags made sure to make it one.
To make matters worse, they also clowned Steelers receiver George Pickens.
The second-year WR out of Georgia said that Jacksonville has a “hope defense”, meaning they can hope to stop him.
Well, they did, taking Pickens out of the game. Jaguars linebacker Foye Oluokon said their defense “hoped pretty well”.
Pickens had five targets and once catch for 22 yards, a touchdown.
The Jags social media team took the photo that has since become a meme of Pickens watching as he as selected by the Steelers in the 2022 draft.
Only this time, he was watching Jaguars players celebrating by twirling Terrible Towels.
It’s hard to stomach, especially when it’s a Jacksonville team that has beat you in big games for years.
