Kaboly: If you're going to McAfee event to see Rodgers, you'll be disappointed

What seemed like a far-fetched idea at first has picked up steam as time goes by.

The Aaron Rodgers saga with the Pittsburgh Steelers continues without a deal in place.

ESPN’s Jeremey Fowler reported on Monday that the Minnesota Vikings are official out on Rodgers, meaning that the only options for the 41-year-old quarterback is Pittsburgh or retirement.

It just so happens that the Pat McAfee Show is hosting a live event on Wednesday at PPG Paints Arena, and Rodgers is a frequent guest on the ESPN program.

And while it started out as a joke, with more time passing, it seemed like Rodgers taking the stage and making his announcement to a sold-out crowd on Wednesday was becoming a real possibility.

93.7 The Fan Steelers insider Mark Kaboly says on The Fan Morning Show Monday that Rodgers coming out on stage Wednesday is not going to happen.

“If you’re going there to see Aaron Rodgers, I think you’re probably going to be disappointed,” said Kaboly.

Now, If Rodgers signs his contract with the Steelers on Tuesday or Wednesday (before the event), then yeah, Rodgers will probably show up.

But, Kaboly says the first announcement won’t happen during the “Big Night Aht”.
