Another season of high school basketball is here and so is the return of the KDKA Radio Super 7 Watch List.
This season, KDKA Radio will again nominate players each week to join the KDKA Radio Super 7 Awards watch list. Every Monday, a new crop of players will be unveiled based on their efforts that previous week. At the end of the year, KDKA Radio will announce the winners of the award for each WPIAL boys and girls classification, as well as the Pittsburgh City League.
Here are the KDKA Radio Preseason Girls Players to Watch:
CLASS 6A
Vange Balouris, North Allegheny: Looks to return North Allegheny to the top after scoring 13.5 points per game a year ago.
Lauren Borella, Canon-McMillan: West Liberty recruit who scored 11.5 points per game last year.
Ava Christopher, Norwin: Strong defender who will try to lead Norwin back to title game.
Madison Clair, Canon-McMillan: WV Wesleyan recruit who went for 11.8 points per contest last season.
Cate Gentile, Pine-Richland: Standout lacrosse player committed to Virginia Tech who also scored 18.2 points per last season.
Natalie Hambly, Seneca Valley: Led Raiders to first section title in 48 yards while averaging 14.2 points per game.
Ryan Prunzik, Upper St. Clair: Scored 6 points per game for WPIAL champs last year but will now step into larger role.
CLASS 5A
Cecilia Christy, Mars: Elon volleyball commit who scored 9.3 points per game a year ago.
Jaedin Griggs, Moon: Dropped in 19.8 points per game for the Tigers, guiding Moon to postseason.
Haylie Lamonde, South Fayette: USC Upstate commit who racked up 12 points per game last year.
Juliette Leroux, South Fayette: Florida Atlantic recruit who scored 12.7 points per a year ago.
Ryan Oldaker, South Fayette: Marist recruit who accounted for 13.3 points per game for state champion Lions.
Reese Smetanka, Shaler: Dynamic scorer who put up 19 points per game in 2024-2025.
Maggie Spell, Thomas Jefferson: Went for 17 points per game in first season with Jaguars, reaching WPIAL semifinals.

Annsley Baker, Beaver: Dropped in 20 points per game last season, taking the Bobcats to the WPIAL quarterfinals.
Hayley Bennett, South Park: Allegheny College commit who registered 10.2 points per game a year ago.
Josie Fontana, Oakland Catholic: Imposing 6-foot-3 center committed to Division I Richmond.
Aubree Hupp, Blackhawk: Versatile guard committed to Division I Canisius after scoring 21.2 points per game last year.
Brady Wehner, North Catholic: Floor general who scored 13.9 points per game for state semifinalist.
Sam Weir, North Catholic: Division I prospect who scored 11.2 points per contest last year.
Ava Wright, Beaver: Talented guard who contributed 11.8 points per game in 2024-2025.

Skyler Gates, Brownsville: 6-foot-4 Virginia volleyball recruit who put up 20.7 points per game as a junior.

Payton Newman, Neshannock: Reigning Super 7 2A Player of the Year who scored 14.5 points per a year ago.
Jaidon Nogay, Neshannock: Kent State softball commit who scored 12.1 points per as a junior.
Denim Odom, Aliquippa: Junior who will play larger role for defending WPIAL champions following key graduation losses.
Tia Yellock, Rochester: Wheeling commit who drooped in 16.2 points per a season ago.

Kasey Cienik, St. Joseph: Senior guard who contributed 11.8 points per contest last season.
Tess Duer, Aquinas Academy: Do-it-all guard who went for
13.6 points per game a year ago.
Bella Dumbroski, Serra Catholic: Named third team all-state as a sophomore while averaging 21.3 points.
Emma Eannarino, Sewickley Academy: All-section selection in soccer who went for 14.5 points per game before an injury ended her season.
Abby Genes, Serra Catholic: Scored 17.0 points per game, earning a couple of collegiate offers.
Emma Larkin, Geibel Catholic: Top returning scorer in WPIAL after racking up 27.6 points per game, committed to Belmont Abbey.
Kendra Tharp, West Greene: Averaged a double-double last season including 16 points per game.
CITY LEAGUE
Nią Benjamin, Obama Academy: Junior guard who will try to get Eagles back to winning the City League title.
Jocelyn FIsher, Carrick: Poured in 16.3 points per game last season for the Raiders.
Ajah Malloy, Allderdice: Wing who will take on larger role for defending City League champs.
Rhyan Sledge, Allderdice: Transfer from Oakland Catholic who will make immediate impact from the guard position.
Arianna Treadwell, Obama Academy: Junior guard who had strong summer and will be key player for Eagles.
Bailey White, Allderdice: Defending City League Super 7 Player of the Year who racked up 20.8 points per game.
