We finally know when the Penguins will kick off the first round against the Islanders.

The Penguins haven’t played since last Saturday and have been patiently waiting to see when their first game against New York will be.

Games One and Two will be at PPG Paints Arena. Game One faceoff is 12 p.m. (in front of 2,800 fans).

Game Two will be on Tuesday at 7:30 and will be the first game to allow over 9,000 fans.

Games Three and Four will be in New York at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

If necessary, Game Five will be Monday In Pittsburgh, May 24, Game Six Wednesday in New York, May 26 and Game Seven Friday in Pittsburgh, May 28. Those start times are to be determined.

The Penguins won the stacked Mass Mutual East Division despite a boatload of injuries and will enter the playoffs for the 15th straight season, the longest streak in North American sports.

Since the Penguins entered the league in 1967, and the Islanders in 1972, the two have faced off in the postseason five times, and the Isles have mostly dominated coming out on top four times, but will this year be different?
