Ingram, who missed Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns with a “groin” injury was good enough to go full for the Chiefs.

“Melvin Ingram, a full participant in Chiefs practice yesterday, the groin injury magically healed . . . I know we’re all happy about that,” said Cook and Joe’s Joe Starkey.

Last week Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said he spoke with Ingram but didn’t give much information.

“I’ve had some conversations with Melvin, but I will leave them between he and I,” Tomlin said.  “The reason he didn’t work today was because of his groin.”

“I’m not going to talk about it,” added linebacker TJ Watt.  “I don’t know many specifics.”

Ingram has played in 62% of the snaps this year according to Pro Football Reference.  However Ingram played his fewest snaps in the most recent game against Seattle, only 17 or 26%.  The veteran free agent played in 63% against Buffalo, 86% vs. the Raiders and 100% against Cincinnati.  Ingram played in 49% against the Packers and 60% against the Broncos.

Ingram seemingly changed his tune after saying in late-July “Just trying to help out.”

According to reports, Ingram believed he was better than starter Alex Highsmith and should've been getting more reps.

Well luckily that soft tissue injury, which can be tricky at times seems to have healed up nicely just in time for his debut in Kansas City.
