PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – This is looking like the week that Minkah Fitzpatrick returns from a hamstring injury after missing all of the November games.
Fitzpatrick was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and Alex Highsmith showed his confidence in saying it’s good ‘knowing we are going to have Minkah back this week’.
“I think he’s feeling really good,” Highsmith said. “We can’t wait to have him back. I’m just really excited to have him back. I know he’s excited to be back in action.”
Fitzpatrick was injured early in the loss to Jacksonville and it’s his first practice since before that late October game. Before the injury, Fitzpatrick had 42 tackles in his previous four games.
Quarterback Kenny Pickett downplayed the injury on Wednesday as he was a full participant as was defensive lineman Montravius Adams, both with ankle injuries. Adams, like Fitzpatrick, hasn’t played since the Jags game. He’s started every game this year in the middle of the defense with 21 tackles, a forced fumble and two tackles for loss.
