The Steelers offseason has been dominated by the will Aaron Rodgers sign or not with Pittsburgh.
But, the NFL Draft is about only two weeks away and free agency is still going on.
The day before the big Aaron Rodgers rumors started, the Steelers made the biggest free agent signing in team history, trading their 2025 second-round draft pick for wide receiver DK Metcalf.
One player that has remained quiet this offseason is wide receiver George Pickens.
Chris Mueller made his bold draft prediction on Tuesday, saying he thinks Pickens is traded before the end of day two of the draft.
Corner Trey Amos visited the Steelers on Tuesday. He projected be a second-round pick.
The problem is, they don’t have a second-round pick currently.
“People inside the football world think (the Steelers) are going to get a second-round pick,” said Andrew Fillipponi.
The Steelers are also spending a lot of time looking at wide receivers.
If the Steelers are looking for a second-round pick, Pickens could be just the player they need to deal to get it back.
“If you thought you were going to have George Pickens and DK Metcalf and Calvin Austin and Roman Wilson all on the team, why spend so much time on wide receivers,” said Poni, adding the WRs they’re looking at is premium talent.
