At the beginning of the week, Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin downplayed injuries.
He didn’t seem concerned about punter Pressley Harvin’s hamstring issue.
But the final practice report before they take on the Texans was released Friday and Harvin is out with a right hamstring injury.
Also, out is offensive lineman James Daniels with a groin injury.
Brad Wing, former Steelers punter, will get a second chance in black and gold, taking over for Harvin, who had a career game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Harvin averaged 53.83 yards a punt on Sunday night.
The Australian punted for the Steelers in 2014. He played in all 16 games that season averaging 43.7 yards a punt.
He spent the next three seasons with the New York Giants, averaging 44.9 yards a punt during those seasons.
2017 was the last year Wing was in the league.
Nate Herbig will start at right guard for Daniels.
Herbig played in 11 games last season starting in all of them. He has appeared in three games this season, but has yet to start.
There is some good news though.
Wide receiver Allen Robinson, tight end Darnell Washington and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi all practiced in full and will play on Sunday.
