With hometown kid Phil Jurkovec joining the Pitt football program, expectations will once again be high for the Panthers in 2023.

One of the highlights of the season will be a game against Syracuse.
No, not in “The Dome”, but at Yankee Stadium.
In a tweet sent on Monday, the program says it will be the first time that the Panthers and Orange will face off in the Bronx in 100 years.
The game will be played on November 11.
Things will also look at little different in the ACC beginning next season.
There will now only be on division in the ACC with each team playing three “Primary Opponents” each season and will play the other 20 teams twice during a four-year cycle (once at home and once away).
Pitt’s primary opponents will be Syracuse, Boston College and Virginia Tech.
The top two teams by conference win percentage will play in the ACC Championship game on December 1.
