The Steelers are now getting ready for their biggest rival, the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday, but there is still a little beef remaining from this past Sunday’s game.
Sam Fortier, Commanders beat writer for the Washington Post, posted on “X” that he had never seen Washington tight end John Bates as angry as he was after a play involving Steelers inside linebacker Patrick Queen.
From what I can see on the replay, the incident in question happened on a running play by the Commanders.
Bates is blocking Queen with the Steelers LB trying to get to the runner to try and make a tackle.
Bates looks to hold onto Queen as they are both dragged down. By the time both players are on the ground, Queen looks to have taken hold of Bates’ arm, and doesn’t let go.
The two scuffled on the ground and Bates’ helmet came off.
Both teams were hit with penalties and after the game, Bates accused Queen of playing dirty.
On Tuesday, Queen responded on “X”, saying “Tried to dump me so I dumped him. If he still mad I ain’t hard to find.”
Queen had his best game as a Steeler on Sunday, so far.
He had seven total tackles (six solo), two of those tackles for loss and one pass defended in the Steelers 28-27 win over the Commanders.
