PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Owning many of the Pitt records already, with a 42-yard completion to Jordan Addison, senior Kenny Pickett now the Panthers all-time leading passer.
“It’s awesome," Pickett said. "All records, awards and accolades it’s really a team effort. I want to thank my teammates and coaches. It’s been a hell of a run. We’re not done yet.”

Pickett surpassed Alex Van Pelt’s 11,267 yards, a record that stood for 29 years. Pickett already holds all-time records for total offense, touchdown responsibility, rushing touchdowns by a quarterback, single-game passing yards and several others including the school’s only 500-yard passing game.
Pickett has Rod Rutherford’s single-season passing record of 3,679 yards within sight as well as Dan Marino’s Pitt record of 79 touchdowns.
Several ACC records within reach, Pickett passed Clemson’s Deshaun Watson for fourth on the ACC total offense list and is nearly 100 completion behind Philip Rivers from NC State for the ACC career completions lead.
Following Thursday’s game, the Panthers host Virginia on November 20 and play at Syracuse on November 27.
