PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Corner James Pierre is out with a calf injury as the news was better for first-round pick Derrick Harmon going through drills Saturday at Acrisure Stadium. Harmon is questionable for his first game this month.
Pierre had played so well the team felt comfortable releasing veteran Darius Slay. Asante Samuel, Junior should start in Pierre’s place. He’s played 29 snaps in two games with the Steelers with three tackles.
Last week’s starting tackle, Andrus Peat, has not practiced this week and is out with a concussion. After playing in his first NFL game, looking for Dylan Cook to get the start at left tackle.
Harmon was one of four defensive linemen either not practicing or limited on Friday, Harmon is the only one with an injury designation, all others are cleared to play.
Tight end Darnell Washington has been limited at practice all week and is questionable with a concuss
