The Pirates have opened up an expanded clubhouse store at PNC Park, double the size of the old one.

The new store, filled with team merchandise and souvenirs, is accessible from Federal Street and from inside the ballpark.

Officials say the expanded store is part of the team’s broader strategy to improve the fan experience inside and outside the North Shore ballpark.

The Pirates now have to figure out what to do with the old team store area on Federal Street they vacated for the new space.

Some of the highlights of the new store include:

- An overall aesthetic designed to celebrate the city’s rich history, drawing inspiration from local culture

including yellow beams to honor Pittsburgh’s three iconic sister bridges

- First of its kind Topps Baseball Card activation station where fans can create their own customized card

- Customized jersey station where fans can personalize Pirates jerseys

- Self check-out technology

- Ticker tape style LED screens line the interior of the space
