The first lineup of the 2026 season is out for the Pittsburgh Pirates, with Paul Skenes on the mound in New York against the Mets at Citi Field
Starting Lineup:
- 1.Oneil Cruz leads off in centerfield
- 2.Brandon Lowe – second base
- 3.Bryan Reynolds – left field
- 4.Marcell Ozuna – designated hitter
- 5.Ryan O’Hearn – right field
- 6.Jared Triolo – shortstop
- 7.Spencer Horwitz – first base
- 8.Nick Gonzales – third base
- 9.Henry Davis – catcher

Skenes is starting his second-consecutive Opening Day.
The Pirates added Lowe, Ozuna, O’Hearn and outfielder Jake Mangum in the offseason.
Baseball’s top prospect, Konnor Griffin, will start the season in Triple-A Indianapolis.
If Griffin begins the season hot with the Indians, he is expected to be in Pittsburgh sooner rather than later.
First pitch against the Mets is 1:15 p.m.
