Poor air quality has forced several MLB games to postpone over the past few weeks.

The polluted air is due to Canadian wildfires, mainly coming from the Quebec Province.

Wednesday has been the worst day, so far, for the Pittsburgh area but the Pirates say they plan to play their game against the San Diego Padres at PNC Park.

A statement from the organization says they’ve been in talks with MLB and their medical team at Allegheny Health Network.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

If you don’t feel comfortable attending the game, the Pirates say you can exchange the tickets.

Here is the full statement from the Pirates:

“We have been in contact with Major League Baseball, the Major League Baseball Players Association, our team of expert medical providers at Allegheny Health Network, and city and county officials regarding the current and projected air quality index in our area.   We are currently planning to host tonight’s game as scheduled.  We will continue to closely monitor the air quality index levels around the ballpark.  Fans holding tickets to tonight’s game who wish to exchange them for a future game may do so by calling 1-800-BUY-BUCS (1-800-289-2827) prior to the start of tonight’s game.”
