Left-handed pitcher Hunter Barco, right-handed pitcher Noah Murdock and outfielder Jhostynxon Garcia have been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis.
LHP Brandon Eisert, RHP Isaac Mattson and infielder/outfielder Tyler Callihan have been optioned to the Indians.
“The Password”, Garcia is batting .362 with 11 RBI, eight extra base hits, four stolen bases and an OPS of .979 in 20 games with Indy this July.
He’s hit .200 in 13 games with Pittsburgh this year.
Barco have appeared in five games for the Pirates this season with a 7.71 ERA over 11.2 innings pitched, giving up 10 runs with eight strikeouts. He has a 4.89 ERA in Indy with 50 strikeouts in 14 minor league games.
Murdock, who has been called up for the doubleheaders against Milwaukee and New York has yet to appear in a game. In 28 games in the minors, he’s 2-2 with one save and an ERA of 3.44 with 44 strikeouts.
