To make room for Keller on the 40-man roster, the Pirates DFA'ed RHP Edgar Santana.
The Bucs picked up Keller for cash considerations.
Keller made his MLB debut in 2019 with the Marlins, posting a 3.38 ERA in 10.2 innings pitched and four earned runs.
In two appearances for the Angles last season, Keller had a 7.71 ERA in 2.1 innings pitched. He gave up three hits and two earned runs with two walks and one strikeout.
Santana last pitched for the Pirates in the majors in 2018, posting a 3.26 ERA in 69 appearances, giving up 61 hits, 25 runs with 54 strikeouts and 12 walks.
