PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Another minor trade for the Pirates, as Monday they sent cash to Baltimore for outfielder Johnathan Rodriguez. They then assigned him to AAA Indianapolis.
The 26-year-old is typically a corner outfielder and this year in 62 games at AAA Norfolk he hit 14 doubles and four home runs with .270 average, .370 on-base percentage and .761 OPS.
The 6’2”, right-handed hitter has played in seven games with the Orioles this year going two for 11 with a double. He made is MLB debut with Cleveland in 2024 hitting .129 in 13 games with four doubles and a triple.
