
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Getting a Top 50 recruit to commit on Wednesday, Pitt basketball currently has the 8th ranked recruiting class in the nation by on3.com/rivals.
The Panthers moved up after the commitment of Washington DC native and IMG Academy player Chase Foster. The 6’9”, 200-pound power forward also had offers from Villanova, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, West Virginia, Penn State and more.
He joined his high school teammate Jermal Jones, a 6’3”, 180-pound shooting guard, who is also a four-star recruit and senior at IMG Academy. Jones was also offered by Purdue, Florida State, Cal and others.
Both committed in the last five days and are currently the only two members of the 2026 class. Panthers class is the second-best class currently in the ACC and ahead of programs like UConn, Michigan State, Tennessee and Texas.
Panthers are holding an open scrimmage against Providence Sunday at 2 at the Petersen Events Center.
