PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Head coach Pat Narduzzi wants his parents to be able to watch Pitt games in person, and believes that may happen Saturday at Heinz Field.
"I think there's a chance," Narduzzi said Monday afternoon. "We don't know right now but I'm saying my prayers tonight. There's a chance, I don't know when we would know, but there is a chance."
Narduzzi said it's actually safer for the parents of the Pitt players, who Narduzzi said come to town anyway for games, to watch socially distanced in the stadium, than somewhere else in town.
"75,000 seat stadium I'd rather be there than in a bar next to who knows who because after the game those parents are going to be with our kids," Narduzzi said.
"If we don't want any problems and we want to play football. To me that's the best thing to do."
Narduzzi said it's up to Governor Wolf to make the decision to make sure we are all safe.
"We want our families to go," Narduzzi said. "We want the fans to go. I want the band to go, the Panther Pitt to go. I want everyone to go. The governor must do best for everyone involved and I'm sure he will."
"We hope. Hope and pray."
