PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Former Quaker Valley and Pitt star Dane Jackson is retiring from football after signing this offseason with Jacksonville.
The 29-year-old was a seventh-round pick of the Bills in 2020 playing 55 games (28 starts) with Buffalo and nine games (three starts) in 2024 with Carolina. The defensive back finished his NFL career with three interceptions, 178 tackles (144 solo), two forced fumbles and three tackles for loss. He also had five passes defensed in eight playoff games with Buffalo finishing with 17 tackles (13 solo, one TFL).
Jackson was a two-time All-ACC corner at Pitt, a captain his final season and returned a fumble for a touchdown in an overtime win against Syracuse. He came to Pitt as a dual-threat quarterback compiling more than 2,000 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior.
