Steelers 2020 sixth-round draft pick Antoine Brooks has moved on after recently reaching an injury settlement with the team.
Brooks, who was waived by the Steelers earlier this week as part the settlement, has joined the Los Angeles Rams' practice squad, the team announced on Friday.
The 23-year-old former Maryland Terrapin appeared in four regular-season games with the Steelers last year, after they made him the 198th overall pick in the 2020 draft. He spent much of the season on the practice team.
Brooks was expected to compete for a regular role with the Steelers this season in their nickel package, but he missed substantial time during camp after suffering a left hamstring injury in the Hall of Fame Game in early August.
The Steelers had placed him on injured reserve, which would have kept him in the fold, but he was permitted to sign elsewhere as part of the settlement.
