Report: Cole Holcomb OUT for rest of the season

The Steelers defense has taken another hit.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, linebacker Cole Holcomb will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

He was taken to the hospital as a precaution after suffering the injury against the Titans on Thursday night.

"Holcomb is out for the season and will need surgery, but is expected to make a full recovery" said Pelissero.

Holcomb has since been discharged from the hospital.

The first-year Steeler has 27 tackles in the last three games and 52 tackles overall in eight games.

He suffered a foot injury in the seventh game last season while with the Washington Commanders.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with him," Head Coach Mike Tomlin said.
