It appears that it is Kenny Pickett's time under center after he replaced Mitch Trubisky after halftime on Sunday against the New York Jets.
Multiple reports say that the Steelers will stick with Pickett at quarterback going forward.
While Pickett ended up with three interceptions, he was able to give the Steelers a 10-point lead going into the fourth quarter before the defense allowed the Jets to drive down the field and take the lead.
Now that it's Pickett's offense, will Trubisky ask to be traded? Has he already requested a trade? And, should the Steelers trade him.
Audacy NFL Insider, Jason La Confora said in the Washington Post, "Don't be shocked if the Steelers move Trubisky before the trade deadline, now less than a month away with inevitable QB injuries mounting around the league and this team open to stockpiling more draft capital."
On Cook & Joe, Ron Cook says he wouldn't be surprised if Trubisky has already asked for a trade with Starkey agreeing along with producer Matt Koll.
Trubisky was visibly upset after the loss to the Jets, giving short, terse answers.
With Mason Rudolph on the roster, they'd have serviceable quarterback to ride out the season.
The 1-3 Steelers will be lucky if they make the playoffs and are on their way to the first losing season under Head Coach Mike Tomlin.
Why keep Trubisky around when you can at least get something for him, especially since it's a "rebuilding year."
