PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – It’s probably a sign to the injury status for Sunday, the Steelers added an outside linebacker to the active roster. It’s someone who has played in Pittsburgh before.
6’5”, 247-pound Jeremiah Moon was grabbed off the Carolina Panthers practice squad and put on the 53-man roster. Moon started a game for the Steelers last year, playing in 13 with nine tackles over 111 defensive snaps.
An undrafted free agent out of the University of Florida, Moon spent most of his first season on-and-off the Ravens active roster and practice squad. He was claimed off waivers by the Steelers in February of 2024. Moon was with the Steelers for the offseason before being released on August 1. He signed with the Panthers in October and did play one game with Carolina.
To make room, the Steelers released defensive lineman Brodric Martin-Rhodes.
