Steelers get Steven Nelson back to practice, others missed

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Out last week due to a knee injury, Steelers corner Steven Nelson was back to full practice on Wednesday before the game Sunday night in Buffalo.

Fellow corner Joe Haden was not able to practice, he is in concussion protocol after leaving in the second half of the loss to Washington.  Linebacker Robert Spillane also left the game early on Monday night and was unable to practice today with a knee injury.

Steelers passed on a 45-yard field goal attempt late in the Washington game because kicker Chris Boswell didn’t play.  Boswell didn’t practice today with his hip injury.

It’s how it started with a few players who ended up on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, defensive lineman Chris Wormley did not practice on Wednesday due to illness.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, guard David DeCastro and tackle Alejandro Villanueva all given the day off.

Steelers will practice twice more before playing the Bills.
