PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Nine Steelers did not practice on Wednesday, all starters or someone who has started with the team this year.
Let's go glass half full and tell you that safety Terrell Edmunds was back to a first full practice since suffering a concussion late against the Jets. Edmunds did not play against Buffalo.
Wide receiver Diontae Johnson continue to have issues with his hip. He was limited in practice on Wednesday.
Of those who didn't participate in the first full workout preparing for Tom Brady and Tampa Bay were four from the secondary-Cameron Sutton (hamstring), Ahkello Witherspoon (hamstring), Levi Wallace (concussion) and Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee). Recently named a starting defensive lineman, Montravius Adams didn't practice and starting defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi wasn't at practice with his back injury.
Offensively, center Mason Cole had his foot in a boot and wasn't able to go with JC Hassenauer working with first team and tight ends Zach Gentry (knee) and Pat Freiermuth (concussion) did not practice either.
A big list with two more on-field practices before Sunday.
