After Hopkins trade, Steelers now odds-on favorite to land Kupp

The Tennessee Titans have traded wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Shortly after that, the odds for which team is likely to land Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp came out. The Steelers are the odds-on favorite to land Kupp at -125.

That means the Steelers have a better than 50 percent chance of landing the Super Bowl MVP, if the Rams trade him.

The PM Team’s Andrew Fillipponi says he is hearing if the Rams lose on Thursday night against the Minnesota Vikings and the next week at Seattle, it’s almost a no-brainer the LA will deal Kupp.

“If they go one and one in those games, (the Rams) have a tough decision to make,” said Poni. “If they go 0 and 2, he’s definitely gone.”

So, if you want the Steelers to land Kupp, you’ll want to root for the Vikings on Thursday and the Seahawks on Sunday, November 3.

The NFL trade deadline is November 5.

The Steelers play the New York Giants at home on Monday night and then have their Bye Week.

The Rams reportedly want a second-round pick for Kupp.

Kupp hasn’t played an entire season since 2021 and has only appeared in two games this season with an ankle injury.

He’s also 31-years-old and his best years are likely behind him.

Will the Steelers be willing to meet the asking price of a second-round pick?

Poni believes the Steelers would only be willing to give up a fourth-round pick that could turn into a third.
