It looks like it's going to be a rough year for the Steelers offense, thanks to the line and lack of talent.
The good news is the Steelers have mobile quarterbacks this year in Mitch Trubisky and Kenny Pickett, the bad news is the offensive line could be worse than it was last year.
That is if Saturday’s preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars was any indication.
Tackle Dan Moore Jr. has regressed getting beat several times and gave up a sack on Saturday
Center turned guard Kendrick Green is an “unmitigated disaster,” said Fan Morning Show host Chris Mack.
Guard James Daniels took multiple holding calls and tackle Chuks Okorafor, big contract and all has been subpar.
Mason Cole has held it together the best of anyone out there, but that’s not saying much.
As Dorin Dickerson points out, the line needs figure things out fast.
“They need to figure out how to be on the same page as an offensive line unit because there’s not going to be one guy that’s going to stand out and hold down their area,” said Dickerson.
Producer Adam Crowley says this line show the Steelers don’t know how to evaluate talent on the offensive line. Draft picks are not working out for them and neither are the free agent signings.
Host Colin Dunlap says he doesn’t want to hear it from those that believe a change at offensive line coach will do anything, even Mike Munchak.
“I think these players are just bad,” said Dunlap.
Whoever the quarterback is, they’ll be scrambling around a lot unless the O-line gets it together.
