PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Following drafting 10 players over the weekend, the Steelers added six more rookies to the roster, one was part of a national championship last year.
Here are the six signed undrafted rookie free agents
TE Lake McRee (USC)
- 6’4”, 250 pounds had 97 career receptions for 1,544 yards and seven touchdowns in 51 games. Last year-single-season career-highs with 30 receptions, 450 yards and 4 TD, averaging 15 yards per catch
TE Chamon Metayer (Arizona State)
- 6’4”, 255 pounds who also played at Cincinnati and Colorado. Last year 2nd Team All-Big 12 with 38 receptions, 375 yards, four touchdowns, in 2024 had 32 receptions for 306 yards and five touchdowns. Was rated as a top 10 basketball forward prospect in Florida as a senior.
DL Kevin Jobity, Jr (Syracuse)
- 6’4”, 300 pounds started 10 games as a senior with 30 tackles, six TFL, five sacks and had a career-high three sacks & six tackles against Pitt. Has played end and tackle in college. Was a basketball & soccer player in high school.
K Laith Marjan (Kansas)
- 6’2”, 210 pounds was a Lou Groza Award Semifinalist in his only season at Kansas and the previous year at South Alabama. Last year, 14-17 on field goal (55-yard FG long) and 40-40 on extra points.
LB Daylan Carnell (Missouri)
- 6’2”, 225 pounds was a three-year starter who moved from safety and had 41 tackles (22 solo) and 6.5 tackles for loss last year, finishing with 174 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, five interceptions
CB Devan Boykin (Indiana)
- 5’10”, 195 pounds played in 61 college games with 30 starts (20 starts and 45 games at NC State), last year with the Hoosiers—59 tackles, six tackles for loss, five pass breakups, two interceptions and a forced fumble
